AS Utilitas Tallinn

AS Utilitas Tallinn supplies thermal energy to two thirds of the capital and to the city of Maardu. The company manages a 438-kilometre district heating network, three large boiler plants, and 14 small boiler plants. Utilitas Tallinn services and supplies with heat 3,873 buildings. AS Utilitas Tallinn belongs in the Utilitas energy group since 2012.

In 2017, 54 percent of the thermal energy released to the network of Utilitas Tallinn AS was generated of non-fossil fuels.

From the district of Kesklinn, heat can be transferred to the western area and the Lasnamäe-Maardu area.

    Tallinna Elektrijaam

    Tallinna Elektrijaam on biokütusel töötav elektri ja soojuse koostootmisjaam, mille installeeritud elektriline võimsus on 25 MW ja soojuslik võimsus 67 MW. Ettevõtte planeeritud elektritoodang on kuni 180 GWh/aastas ja soojustoodang kuni 480 GWh/aastas. Suviti piisab elektrijaamas toodetud soojusest terve pealinna soojusvajaduse rahuldamiseks.

    In Väo, two cogeneration plants of Utilitas generate electricity and thermal energy from biofuel. In 2009, the first cogeneration plant was commissioned and the second cogeneration plant, which uses wood chips as fuel, entered into service in the autumn of 2016. Thanks to the new plant, the planned production and the installed capacity of both heat and electricity have increased. In total, these two plants meet nearly 45% of the annual heating requirement of the district heating network of Tallinn. The electricity produced during the process is enough to supply over 130,000 homes – every home in the district heating network of Tallinn.

    Kristiine Boiler Plant

    Kristiine katlamaja varustab soojusega piirkondi nagu Mustamäe, Õismäe, Lilleküla, Sõle ja Karjamaa. 2010. aastal rajatud ühendustorustiku kaudu saab edastada soojust Läänepiirkonnast ka Kesklinna ja Lasnamäe-Maardu piirkondadesse. AS Tallinna Küte omab kehtiva keskkonnakompleksloa alusel katlamajas õigust maagaasi kõrval kasutada soojusenergia tootmisel reservkütusena kergekütteõli. Praegusel perioodil praktiline vajadus puudub, kuid seda tuleb hoida alalises kasutusvalmiduses.

Ülemiste katlamajas toodetud soojus edastatakse Tondist kuni Kadrioruni ning Balti jaama rajoonist Lasnamäe kaldani. Kesklinna piirkonnast saab edastada soojust ka Läänepiirkonda ja Lasnamäe-Maardu piirkonda.
